Officials are advising people to check for large cans of green beans and garbanzo beans distributed by New Era Canning of Michigan.

The Albertsons supermarket chain has announced a voluntary recall of its in-house brand of bean soup mix from shelves in parts of Idaho, Utah, Montana and other Western states.

General Electric recalled 92,000 combination wall and microwave ovens after at least 35 incidents of fire that damaged property, the company and the Consumer Product Safety Commission said Wednesday.
