DVD Review: Phineas and Ferb - Animal Agents

Phineas and Ferb: Animal Agents
Rated: TV G
Genre: Family, Animation
Street Date: February 26, 2013
Available On: DVD

The Film: Phineas and Ferb are hyper-intelligent brothers who spend their summer vacation annoying their sister with their various inventions. They also have a platypus named Perry for a pet. What they don’t seem to realize is that Perry is also a secret agent who spends most of his time trying to stop Dr. Doofenshmirtz from taking over the world.

The Extras: “Take Two With Phineas and Ferb” (Brief talk show segments where Phineas ad Ferb interview people like David Beckham, Miss Piggy and Ben Stiller)

Recommendation: If you’re looking for incredibly-random-fast-paced-animated chaos packed with bizarre pop culture references and hyperactive characters “Phineas and Ferb” is a fantastic way to spend an afternoon (or a week depending on how quickly you move through the 12 episodes). Besides, where else are you going to find a show featuring a Mongolian horde chasing after a small army of mutated potatoes gremlins? The theme song does drive me a little bit crazy.
