The Extras: “Making of” and “A Day in the Life with Erica Linz” featurettes
Recommendation: Those looking for a phenomenal story in “Worlds Away” are going to be disappointed. The plot, which is hardly there, is merely a thread to tie together the various performances from Cirque Du Soleil’s current Las Vegas shows “Ka,” “O”. “Mystere,” “Viva Elvis,” “Zumanity” and “Love.” All of the performances were filmed in their various hotel theaters and while director Andrew Adamson (with some help from James Cameron) has done a fine job of capturing the dances the atmosphere of awe and wonder isn’t nearly as magical as it would be if you were seeing the event live. It’s sort of like visiting Las Vegas’ New York New York hotel and claiming that you’ve experienced Manhattan. You get a taste, but not the entire four courses.
