relationships while maintaining a sense of freedom and excitement in
Review: Despite what the marketing campaign would
like you to believe, the awkward moment being referenced in this films
title is that place where a couple is forced to define their
relationship and one of the two participating parties would prefer to
not discuss anything. It has nothing to do with accidentally sexting
your parent or being attached to her kitty. Frankly, that's a relief.
The last thing I wanted to watch was Zac Efron, Miles Teller or Imogen
Poots slumming in another soulless sex comedy (even if that's what
Teller seems to do more often than not). Not that first-time
director/writer Tom Gormicans film is filled with a lot of insight, but
it at least has a little heart and a few laughs. Ultimately its a just
fairly straightforward rom-com, even if it wants you to believe its
edgier than that.
