Sam was born with Progeria, a disease that causes his body to age far more rapidly than is normal. With an average life expectancy of 13 years Sams parents were face with the sad truth that it was unlikely that he would reach his twenties. So they went in search of a way to extend their sons life and the lives of the hundreds of children around the world who shared Sams disease. Life According to Sam is an emotional journey through the ups and many downs of Sams life. Through all the adversity he remains hopeful, positive and a wonderful example of how misfortune can lead to something positive. Youll cry, laugh and cry some more and leave thankful for all that you have rather than being focused on the trivial things you lack.
