(KUTV) This week's releases are highlighted by "Flight" starring Denzel Washington, Disney's "Peter Pan,” the BBC’s acclaimed television series “House of Cards Trilogy” and the Blu-ray debut of Bob Fosse’s brilliant musical “Cabaret.”
Fans of independent cinema have a variety of new releases to pick from. There is the excellent “A Late Quartet” starring Christopher Walken, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Catherine Keener, the French drama “Little White Lies” with Marion Cotillard, “In Our Nature” starring Jena Malone and Zach Gilford and Zoe Kravitz, Jason Clarke and Gabourey Sidibe in the urban drama “Yelling to the Sky.”
Those in the mood for a documentary should consider Keanu Reeves’ exploration of the digital vs. film debate in “Side By Side." "Somewhere Between" is about Chinese children adopted by Americans and their struggle to find a sense of self in mixed heritage and the fantastic portrait of fashion icon Diana Verrland in "The Eye Has to Travel"
Fans of the Monster High films are treated to a double feature with the DVD pairing of "Friday Night Frights" and "Why Do Ghouls Fall in Love?"
