Recommendation: “Side By Side” is essential viewing for filmmakers and film fanatics interested in the art and process of filmmaking. The film itself isn’t a finely crafted piece of art, but the information contained within it is incredibly enlightening as some see the digital revolution as a positive act of evolution, while others see it as a step towards the death of cinema as a true art form.
