Birth Control Can Lower Abortions
(KUTV) A new study shows free birth control can lower the number of unplanned pregnancies and abortions.
Researchers at the Washington University School of Medicine gave 9,000 women free birth control for 4 years.
During that time, abortion rates for the group were up to 78% lower than the national average.
Researchers say about 50% of all U.S. pregnancies are unplanned.
