Junior Surgeon App
(KUTV) Surgery is scary for anyone, especially young children. Now, there is an App that not only explains the surgery but lets kids actually perform it.
Doctors at Intermountain Healthcare created the Jr. Surgeon for young kids like Kasey Higham. Like many kids his age, Kasey needs to have his tonsils removed. During an appointment, Kasey had the opportunity to actually perform the surgery he will eventually have to help him sleep at night and stay awake in class. Kasey uses an Ipad to carefully make the incision and remove the tonsils. In a matter of minutes Kasey had the skills of a surgeon.
