(KUTV) "Turn your key and be idle free" is the message Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker is relaying to school children and their parents.

The mayor stopped by Rose Park Elementary School to kick off Idle Free Awareness Month.

The campaign reminds drivers of the ordinance that bans vehicles from idling for more than two minutes.

Becker says anyone who follows the ordinance will save money and improve the air quality.
