They show us some easy ways to clean up nasty holiday stains… For more information, go to www.mollymaid.com
• Red wine stains on carpet: Pour club soda over the stain and begin blotting up the liquid using a damp sponge with cold water. Next, shake salt onto the stain to help deter the wine from setting into the carpet. Keep applying salt until it no longer absorbs the wine. After this, add another layer of salt, cover the area with a layer of paper towels, place a heavy object on top and allow it to sit overnight.• Removing stains and tarnish from silverware: Line a cake pan with aluminum foil, fill it with water and add one tablespoon of baking soda per two cups of water. Heat oven at 150 degrees and lay silverware in the pan touching the aluminum foil. Watch stains disappear before your eyes.
