Man Receives Parking Ticket From The Future
(KUTV) One man says he paid his parking fare, but got a ticket –for a time in the future.

Brandon Oliver says he was downtown to grab some lunch. He paid to park, went to eat, but returned to find a ticket on his windshield.

Brandon had parked at a Diamond Parking lot.

“We paid the fee and it was good until 1:07,” Brandon says. He says he was back before the expiration time. But the ticket issued said it was later. “It said it was 15 minutes in the future,” Brandon says.

Brandon snapped a photo of the ticket.

The person who wrote the ticket said it was issued at 1:15 p.m., but the time on Brandon’s phone said it was 1:05 p.m.

Brandon said he had been trying to plead his case to Diamond Parking, but his calls went unreturned.

So, not wanting to pay for a ticket he does not owe, Brandon called Matt Gephardt.

2News contacted Diamond Parking and spoke to the regional vice president. After taking a look at Brandon’s photo, she immediately voided his ticket.

Brandon says he too got a call, apologizing.

It was smart thinking by Brandon whipping out his phone and snapping that picture.

Brandon says Diamond Parking told him that the ticket writer had gotten the time off of his watch, which was apparently 15 minutes fast.
