Richardson Announces She Will Run for House Seat
(KUTV) Holly Richardson has formally announced her candidacy for House District 57.
The following press release was sent out Friday January 16, 2014:
"I love the people of District 57 and I love Utah," said Richardson. "Our state needs people in politics who are effective, honest and who will listen to all sides as they work to find the best possible solution. I have a track-record of doing just that and would be honored to represent District 57 on Utah’s Capitol Hill."
Richardson is a wife, mother to a large family and small business owner. Affectionately known as "Holly on the Hill," she writes the award-winning blog by the same name. She is a common-sense conservative who has been active in Utah politics for over 13 years. Richardson is a popular speaker and is respected as an effective leader both on and off the Hill.
Richardson, a Republican, is passionate about good government at every level. An outspoken advocate for ethics and integrity, she was one of the first to call for the resignation of now-former Attorney General John Swallow because of his violation of public trust. She believes “dark money” and bullying tactics have no place in Utah politics.
Richardson is holding a campaign kick-off from 7 to 9 pm on Thursday, Jan 30, 2014 at Stonegate Reception Center located at 886 W 2600 N, Pleasant Grove, UT. The campaign kick-off will include an opportunity to talk with Holly, entertainment by a world-class performer and a silent auction.
