Web Exclusive: Jeanette Herbert on Seeing the Good
Shauna Lake: One thing you said several times since we've been talking is it's not perfect but it's great. And I know there was an issue with one of your children a few years back and there was some press and I just want to tell you that when I was watching that I was so touched because it was the day that Nathan I believe was at the court house and there you were mamma bear, arm around him circling the wagons and I thought really at the end of the day it's not about politics and publicity but it is about your role as a mother. And it was really touching you should a lot of grace in that moment.
Jeanette Herbert: Well, thank you, one of the coworkers in his comments that night said you know this is only news worthy because he is the governor’s son. So those are the hard things you have to deal with and those are the things you have to deal you just get through them as a family and if you notice all the family was there and you do you just move forward and things are good. You can't dwell on the negative things I was watching a thing on Nelson Mandela this morning and what an inspiring person he is for all those years he spent in prison he could have come out a bitter angry man, but what did he do? He turned it around and continued to move forward and do a lot of good in the world and so you look at those examples and you think that's what matters. That's what is important.
