Web Exclusive: Handling Attention
Dr. Mario Capecchi talks with Shauna Lake about the attention he has received since winning the Nobel Prize.
Dr. Capecchi refers to himself as a quiet person who generally likes to keep to himself. However since winning the Nobel Prize he says that it has opened doors and allowed him to reach out to children with the hopes of engaging them with science.
He says the biggest negative in having additional attention is that it can disrupt your time. Dr. Capecchi says that his time is something he has to protect because you can never get more of it.
