Romney Might Not Be Allowed In LDS Temple
(KUTV) There may be an LDS Temple issue with Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney and the Secret Service guarding him. Romney has has gone to church several times since the Secret Service began guarding him as the Republican nominee.
Still, that remains a big question, since Romney has yet to visit an LDS Temple. This sacred Mormon right is only allowed to Church members in good standing, that would mean Secret Service members aren't allowed.
According to the Salt Lake Tribune, none of the parties involved--including Romney's campaign, the Secret Service and the LDS Church, are commenting on the situation.
On the campaign trail, both candidates are laying low today. Although, the Obama campaign has some interesting news, they say September was a record setting month for fundraising.
The President's campaign raised $181 million, topping the previous monthly record of $114 million raised in August. Democrats gained attention at the beginning of the month with its successful convention in Charlotte.
The Republicans and Mitt Romney have yet to reveal September's fundraising total.
