Republican Chairman On Why Romney Came Up Short
(KUTV) More than 4 months after the election, the Chairman of the Republican National Committee shared his thoughts on what hurt Mitt Romney’s Presidential campaign.
Reince Priebus says money and the calendar were factors. He believes a late convention created cash flow trouble for Romney.
“One of the reasons why Mitt Romney was a sitting duck for 2 months over the summer was that under the campaign finance laws, he couldn’t use money he had already raised until after he received nomination for President in August,” says Priebus.
Among other changes, he wants to push the nominating convention up to June and to cut primary debates to about eight.
