Burger King Reopens In France After 15 Years
(KUTV) Burger King is trying once again to win over taste buds in France after a 15-year absence from the country.
The number two burger in the world opened a branch at Marseilles Airport on Saturday, December 22.
Burger King closed its nearly 40 locations in France in 1997, saying sales were poor.
Now, the chain is planning a second location in the country in 2013 in Reims.
McDonald’s, the number one burger chain, already has a strong presence in France with more than 1,200 locations, employing nearly 63,000 people. It entered the market in 1979.
