Plane Catches Fire During Flight
(CNN) Lightning hit the engine of a Turkish Airline flight on Thursday, causing the engine to catch fire.
A passenger caught the frightening incident on camera. It was also captured on video from the ground.
The flight from Istanbul, carrying 114 people, was preparing to land in Izmir when the lighting hit.
The pilot turned on the motor's own fire extinguisher, declared an emergency and was able to land safely.
Turkish Airlines says no one was hurt.
