Fraternal Order of Police files bar complaint against DA Sim Gill
(KUTV) A bar complaint has been filed against Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill.

The Utah chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police claims Gill violated professional rules of conduct in his handling of the Danielle Willard case.

The FOP filed the grievance on behalf of former West Valley detective Shaun Cowley. The complaint alleges that Gill released information to the public knowing that he would be screening charges against Cowley in the shooting death of Willard.

The FOP claims the release of that information has tainted the jury pool.

Gill was out of town and says he has not seen the complaint and can't comment on it.
