1 package puff pastry sheets
1 granny smith apple, peeled, cored, and finely chopped
1 tbsp cinnamon
2 tsp freshly ground nutmeg
4 tbsp melted butter
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup flour
¼ cup old fashioned oatmeal
1 package cream cheese
Small bowl of water
1.) Cut the puff pastry sheet into fourths and set aside.
2.) In a small bowl, combine the apple, cinnamon, nutmeg, butter, brown sugar, flour and oatmeal. Mix together.
3.) Place a 1-2 tablespoon of apple filling into the center of the center of each newly divided puff pastry sheet.
4.) Place a 1 tsp of cream cheese on top of the apple filling from step two.
5.) Fold the puff pastry square over on top of itself forming a triangle.
6.) Using a fork, seal the edges. Place newly formed turn over onto a parchment lined baking sheet and continue until all turnovers are created.
7.) Bake in a preheated 425 degree oven until golden brown.
8.) Remove and ice if desired.
9.) Serve and Enjoy!
