White Chocolate Ganache
As Aired On June 5, 2012
Recipe of Salt Cake City
2 cups White Chocolate Chips
1 tbsp Butter
1/2 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
1.) Place the white chocolate chips in a large bowl.
2.) Melt butter in a small saucepan, but be careful not to burn the butter.
3.) Add the heavy cream ad stir well. Watch the pot until you see small bubbles appear around the edges. (Do not boil the mixture!)
4.) Pour the heavy cream/butter mixture over the white chocolate chips and let it sit for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
5.) Stir the mixture with a whisk until completely melted.
6.) Allow the white chocolate ganache to cool completely.
7.) After the mixture has cooled for several hours or overnight, whisk it with a hand blender. The ganache will turn slightly whiter and thicken up after whisking it well.
Tip: For a thicker white chocolate ganache, adjust the recipe with more white chocolate chips or less heavy cream.
