Open Faced Roast Beef Sandwich
As Aired On June 13, 2012
Recipe Courtesy Chef Bryan Woolley
1 pound deli slice roast beef
6-8 pieces swiss cheese (or your favorite)
1 red onion, thinly sliced
2 fresh tomatoes, sliced
2 tbsp horseradish
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 cup mayonnaise (or salad dressing)
salt and pepper taste
bread of choice, toasted
1.) Mix the horseradish, smoked paprika, and mayonnaise together, set aside.
2.) Toast each slice of bread you’ll be using to make a sandwich on.
3.) Spread a small amount of the horseradish infused mayonnaise onto each slice of toasted bread.
4.) Add a slice of swiss cheese followed by tomato, red onion, and a few slices of roast beef. Salt and pepper to taste.
5.) Add one more slice of swiss cheese over the sandwich and place it onto a baking sheet.
6.) Place the baking sheet under a broiler until the cheese is bubble and beginning to brown.
7.) Being careful not to burn yourself, remove the open faced sandwiches from the broiler. Serve with your favorite chips and enjoy!
