French Toast and Fresh Fruit

1 loaf challah bread or brioche
6 whole eggs
¼ cup milk
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1/2 cup sour cream
¼ cup brown sugar
Maple Whipped Butter:
1 cup butter
1/4 cup maple syrup
Fresh Fruit of the Season
1.) In a large bowl combine together eggs, milk, salt and pepper, whisk together.
2.) Dip bread slices into the egg batter and cook for about 2 minutes on each side or until golden on a preheated skillet.
3.) If french toast is for later use, hold in a preheated 125 degree oven.
4.) To make the sauce, combine sour cream and brown sugar in a sauce pan and heat to dissolve sugar. If sauce is to thick adjust by adding more sour cream.
5.) To make the maple whipped butter, combine the butter and maple syrup in a large bowl and whip together until combined.
6.) Drizzle sour cream sauce over french toast or serve with maple whipped butter. Serve with a side of fresh fruit.
