Fresh Pear Pie

1 cup vegetable shortening
3 cups flour
1 tsp salt
½ cup ice cold water
1.) In the bowl of a food processor add the vegetable shortening, flour, and salt. Pulse ingredients together to cut the shortening into the flour. Should resemble course meal when finished.
2.) Pour dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl and add just enough of the water to pull the dry ingredients into a soft dough mass. The dough mass should be tacky to the touch.
3.) Place dough in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
3-4 medium sized pears, peeled, cored, and sliced
¾ - 1 cup sugar
¼ cup flour
1 tbsp freshly ground nutmeg
½ tsp salt
1 cup cream
1.) In a medium size bowl add, sugar, flour, nutmeg, salt, and cream. Mix together.
2.) Add pears to your pie shell.
3.) Pour cream mixture over pears.
4.) Top with crust
5.) Bake 350 degree’s for 45 minutes or until crust is golden and filling is boiling.
6.) Allow to cool and serve. ENJOY!!!
