BYU's Taysom Hill Has Knee Injury, Status Unknown
(KUTV) Freshman quarterback Tayson Hill took a hard hit on his knee in Friday's win over Utah State. He looked to be limping afterwards. After speculation on Twitter and multiple media inquiries, BYU spokesman have confirmed the quarterback has a knee injury.
The extent of the injury and related status is being evaluated. Any updates will likely be provided on Monday.
Ironically BYU could have just taken a knee, instead of running into the teeth of the USU defense, Hill had 19 carries for 80 yards in a defensive struggle with the Aggies.
BYU led 6-3 into the 4th quarter, but the Aggies were driving and threatened to take the led or tie the game with a field goal. Aggies quarterback Chuckie Keeton nibbled at the BYU defense, driving Utah State down to the Cougars' 21 yard line.
But once again, the Aggies missed a heartbreaking field goal and the Cougars preserved an ugly 6-3 win. Adam Mikulich has more from Provo.
