BYU Beats Mississippi State 4-3 In Opening Round
(KUTV) The BYU softball team is becoming a regular in the NCAA
Tournament and they're liking it. On Thursday the Cougars scored first
and came away with an impressive 4-3 victory over Mississippi State.

Playing
in the Oregon Regional, BYU got on the board in the third inning when
Jassica Dougas hit a blooper over Bulldogs' third baseman, to drive in
Stacie Toney.

Then Tiffany Messerschmidt singled home Dougas to
give the Cougars a 2-zip advantage. BYU held on to win by a run and win
its opening round game of the NCAAs for the sixth consecutive year.
