Cougars Expect Different Gonzaga Team Thursday Night
(KUTV) - BYU and Gonzaga are tied for second-pace in the West Coast Conference and they play Thursday night in Spokane, Washington.
The Cougars might be limited in the post, as forward Noah Hartsock is not a 100 percent after suffering a knee injury in last week's game at LMU.
"He has got some real soreness in that knee but there is no structural damage so we will just go from there," BYU coach Dave Rose said Wednesday.
BYU forced Gonzaga into 19 turnovers while beating the Bulldogs in Provo and they also beat them in the NCAA Tournament last March.
"They're coming off of losing to us two times, you know they are going to be fired up and ready to give it their all," center Brandon Davies said.
The Cougars aren't looking past the Zags and their home court advantage either, they expect Gonzaga to shoot the ball much better this time around.
"They probably didn't shoot their best in [Provo] and they didn't get that good of a game from a lot of their players that are really capable, BYU forward Charles Abuou said. so it is going to be a different challenge."
