BYU Dominates Hawaii 47-0
(KUTV) BYU's freshman quarterback Taysom Hill had a brilliant 68-yard touchdown run and running back Jamaal Williams rushed for a 169 yards and a pair of scores, as the Cougars blew out the Hawaii Warriors 47-0 Friday night.
On the downside, BYU running back Michael Alisa injured his arm in the first quarter and some say he may have broken it. Alisa might be out for the rest of the season.
Yet, this game was all about the emergence of Hill and what he does best, which is run the ball. Bronco Mendenhall said the freshman quarterback "did what he was supposed to do," Friday night, which included rushing for 143 yards and accounting for three Cougar touchdowns.
Statistically, BYU dominated the game--out gaining the Warriors 540 yards to 140. Now Mendenhall will have a decision to make at quarterback, as the Aggies come calling.
If starter Riley Nelson is healthy, he may get the starting nod over Hill, but that's a question only Bronco can answer.
