(KUTV) It's hard to say which game is bigger this week, as the Utes (1-2) host USC for the first time  at Rice-Eccles Stadium or the surging Aggies(4-1) taking on BYU (3-2) in Provo.

A month ago it would have been a no-brainer, Utah-USC was the marquee matchup. Now with the upstart Aggies making a name for themselves with a close loss at Wisconsin and beat-downs of both Colorado State and UNLV, its a tough call.

The Aggies have the wins, and the Cougars need them, the last time the Aggies beat both Utah and BYU was back in 1974.

Fortunately Utah-USC in on a Thursday night and the USU-BYU tilt will be played Friday evening. With so much on the line for both teams, one thing is certain: If the Aggies win, they'll be the best team in the state.

Utah State-BYU Isn't The Rivalry-Game, But It's Big
