(KUTV) Selection Sunday is upon us and this is the time when college basketball takes center stage in the sporting world.

For the local teams, the pickings are slim. In a down year for college basketball, none of the local programs could win their respective conference tournaments and thus, were unable cash on a  automatic berth.

For BYU, they will likely make the NCAA Tournament, despite getting run off the court by Gonzaga in the West Coast Conference semifinals.

BYU beat writer Jay Drew joined Talkin' Sports Saturday night and had several reason to like the Cougars chances for a sixth straight NCAA appearance.
