Jazz Get Badly Needed Win Over Suns
(KUTV) Jamaal Tinsley started in place of an injured Mo Williams and looked good doing it, as he dished out 14 assists in the Jazz's 94-81 victory over Phoenix Saturday.
The Jazz played well early on, taking a 29-19 lead after the first quarter. Gordan Hayward ended the game with 18 points in 43 minutes.
Hayward found Derrick Favors for a massive third-quarter jam giving Utah all the momentum heading into the final quarter. Favors played well off the bench, chipping in 10 points and 6 rebounds.
The Suns made a run in the fourth quarter by trimming the Jazz lead to 79-72, but Tinsely found Paul Millsap (18 points, 13 rebounds) in the post for a bucket and then Al Jefferson scores late to cap a 27 point 14 rebound night.
Utah wins its third straight at home, but the question remains: Can the Jazz bottle this kind of performance and take it on the road?
