Jazz Pull Away From Lakers For 117-110 Win
(KUTV) Paul Millsap poured in 24 points and Mo Williams chipped in 22 points, as the Jazz register a 117-110 win over the Lakers at Staples Center Sunday night.
The Jazz followed up Friday's night's scoring outburst with another solid shooting performance, hitting 54.2 percent from the field and 6-18 from beyond the arc.
Al Jefferson returned to the line-up to score 14 points after sitting out the Toronto game with back spasms. The Jazz's bench played a key role too, Utah got double figure scoring from DeMarre Carroll (10 pts.)
Enes Kanter (14 pts.) and Gordon Hayward (14 pts.). Despite Kobe Bryant's 34 points effort the Jazz held strong in the fourth quarter out scoring the fading Lakers 29-25 to improve to 4-9 on the road.
Halfway through the second quarter L.A. closed to with one point, but the Jazz used a 6-0 run to take the advantage back. Utah's next game is back at Energy Solutions Arena this Wednesday when they host the San Antonio Spurs.
Utah plays 3 of its next 5 games on the road starting in Phoenix this Friday.
