Lone Peak Rolls Into 5A Title Game
(KUTV) As expected, Lone Peak's boys basketball team advanced to the 5A state title game by crushing  Brighton 53-27 in the Class 5A semifinal game at Weber State University Friday.

Despite a scoreless second quarter, when the Bengals held the ball for nearly the entire period, the Knights were able to put the Bengals away with a dominating performance in  the second half.

T.J. Haws led the Knights in scoring with 15 points, while center Eric Mika chipped in with 11. Lone Peak will take on Alta, as the Hawks outlasted American Fork 38-31 in the other 5A semifinal match-up.

Tyler Rawson had 12 points and 10 rebounds but it was the defense that lifted the Hawks to the title game. Tied at 26 after three quarters, Alta allowed the Cavemen just 5 points in the final quarter to defeat American Fork 38-31.

In Class4A, Mountain Crest defeated Logan 54-51 and Sky View's Jalen Moore hit a miracle half-court shot to send Bountiful to a stunning 63-60 defeat.

We'll have highlights from both the 4A and 5A title games Saturday night on Talkin' Sports.
