Holmoe Says Cougars Might Have Interest In New Bowl Game
(KUTV) For the second time in two years the BYU football team has seen major changes to the coaching staff.  Athletic Director Tom Holmoe says he was consulted on the moves and he thinks the former BYU assistant coaches were treated fairly.

"I think a lot's  been said about how information came, and I can't really comment on that, other than I think they were treated fairly."

Of course, Wednesday's meeting with the media was not all about coaching changes, but more so about the future of the program as an independent school.

There may be a new bowl game to be played at the L.A. Coliseum and that's something that might peak Holmoe's interest.

"There's some talk of a bowl game being played in Los Angeles, it's not gone far enough down the line to where you can consider scheduling the game," he said.

Notre Dame tops the list of  four probable Top-25 teams scheduled for the 2013 season and it's a schedule that the BYU Athletic Director believes Cougar fans have wanted to see since the school declared its  independence.
