Utah Comeback Falls Short Against Oregon State
(KUTV) SALT LAKE CITY -- The Utah baseball will team wraps up its
Pac-12 schedule in the next two weeks with match-ups against Stanford and
No. 23 Oregon State.

On Friday the Utes comeback fell short, as the Beavers escaped Spring Mobile Ballpark with an 11-10 win.

Oregon
State scored six runs on seven hits in the first inning and led Utah
9-0 after three. Michael Conforto led the Beavers in hitting,going 3 for
5 including a a two-run home run.

Utah got back into the game by
scoring four runs in the fourth inning to cut the Oregon State led to
9-4.

Utah's Jo Jo Sharrar propelled the team, going 4 for 5 and driving
in a pair of runs. Trey Nelson also had a big game with an inside the
park home run and 3 hits.

Utah cut the Oregon State lead to 11-9
by scoring a pair runs in the bottom of the eighth but had to settle for
a a 1-run loss when Sharrar got gunned down at third base and the next
two Utes struck out.

Utah and Oregon State play Saturday and Sunday at noon at Spring Mobile Ballpark.
