Utah State Tops CSU, But QB Situation Is Dicey
(KUTV) The Aggies rolled to a 31-19 victory over Colorado State Saturday night, but quarterback Chuckie Keeton put a scare into Coach Gary Andersen.
The sophomore QB injured his non-throwing hand in the first quarter and took himself out of the game. With back-up quarterback Adam Kennedy already sidelined with a shoulder injury, Utah State is very thin at this position.
Fortunately for the Aggies, Keeton stayed in the game, going 18 of 23 with a first half touchdown pass. The Aggies ran the ball very effectively, Kerwin Williams rushed for 205 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Utah State is now 3-1 for the first time since 1978 and will look to go to 4-1 as they host UNLV next week.
