(KUTV) Weber State Wildcat’s guard Damian Lillard received good news Thursday.

Lillard was drafted to the Portland Trailblazers. He was the 6th pick in the 2012 NBA draft.

That’s the highest a Wildcat has ever been drafted. The old record was 14 when Bob Davis was drafted in 1972.

Although
Damian was in New York for the draft, Wildcat fans went down to the
Megaplex Theatres in Ogden for Lillard's draft party. There was an
outdoor TV screen set up in the Plaza east of the theaters and hundreds
of fans gathered in the heat.



Weber State staff, boosters, and sponsors went upstairs to a VIP party
and another large group of fans watched indoors on a movie screen.
