Wildcats Into CIT Championship Game
(KUTV) Weber State hosts East Carolina Tuesday night at 6pm in Ogden in the College Tournament Championship game.Weber State Coach Randy Rahe joined David James on Talkin’ Sports Sunday night to discuss the title game.

Rahe pointed out the Wildcats have been drawing about 6,000 people per game in the tournament and he is hoping for 8,000 for the championship game.  Rahe is also pumped up the Wildcats set not only a school record, but a Big Sky Conference record with 30 victories.

Rahe says the team has stayed motivated in what is admittedly a third tier tournament, because they know their other option is off-season workouts.  Who wouldn’t prefer games to conditioning and weightlifting?

Watch the interview here. Both teams have been heating up late in the season.  Weber State has won 17 of the last 18 games while East Carolina has won 8 of the last 10 games.  Weber State is 17-1 at home this year, the only loss is to BYU, while East Carolina is 5-7 on the road.

The Pirates finished 9-7 in Conference USA.  They will be making the move to what used to be known as the Big East Conference and may soon be the Metro Conference.
